Fool For Love

"Sexually charged and Savagely funny..."

Fool For Love is the story of two lovers and their tragic secret. Set in a rundown motel room in the Mojave desert, one can imagine the Gods looking down from the San Bernadino Mountains across the desolate wilds of America's frontier dream, laughing at the sheer folly of yet another reunion between Eddie (Stefan Dennis), the broken down stuntman whose wanderings and one-night stands always lead back to the woman he can walk out on, but never leave & May (Alexa Hamilton), the disillusioned woman in waiting, trapped by her hopeless love for Eddie and clinging to what's left of sanity and her fragile dignity.

First staged at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000, David Soul's production incorporates pre-shot and live on-stage video, visual effects, graphics, 3-D imaging, time-lapse footage and digital sound to heighten the visceral experience of the presentation. It is one of the first real examples of how streaming media can be effectively applied to live theatre.
